Let’s play Together - Social inclusion through interactive peer to peer activities / Erasmus + Youth exchange

about us

Dates: 6th May – 17th May 2024

12 nights/days – 10 days program – 2 days for traveling

Venue: University Center Bachinovo in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria

Blagoevgrad is а town in Southwestern Bulgaria. It is the economic and cultural centre of Southwestern Bulgaria. It is located in the valley of the Struma River at the foot of the highest Mountan on Balkans - Rila Mountain, 101 kilometres south of the capital Sofia, close to the borders with North Macedonia and Greece.

Objectives: The objectives are related to implementing educational mobility activities with the participation of young people with intellectual disabilities. Both youth with disabilities and young adults, as well as volunteers who are interested and ready to support their social inclusion, will participate in these activities. Collaborative learning and sharing knowledge and skills with their peers from other nationalities will help achieve this goal. That way, they will be satisfied with the need to develop specific knowledge, skills, and competencies and provide emotional and psychological support for the active social inclusion of young people with intellectual disabilities. The informal learning methods, especially peer-to-peer learning, will create models of mutual learning and collaborative activities with peers from different cultures. Young people will understand more about the natural qualities and abilities of those with intellectual disabilities and will form a sense of empathy and understanding, and readiness to support.

In this youth exchange youth participants from each partner country should prepare and present different methods for interactive non-formal education – through play games, dance, rhythm, drama activities, sport activities, art and etc.
