Foundation For Tomorrow - Summary of the accredited youth mobility projects 2025
In 2025, the Foundation "For Tomorrow" was approved to implement four youth mobility projects focused on the social and work inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities. According to the accreditation, we have three main objectives to achieve this year:
Objective 1: Develop Youth Worker Competencies: Enhance youth workers' and volunteers' skills and capacities through training in innovative, non-formal learning methods to better support youth with intellectual disabilities. Additionally, establish networks for shared resources and best practices among youth workers.
Planned projects to achieve this objective are:
➢ Activity reference SM-PDA-P-1: Training program for youth workers - "INnate' ART INclusion" – INnovative art tools for social and work inclusion
Date: 24th March – 3rd April 2025 Venue: Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria
18 participants from a maximum of nine countries (member states and associated countries)
A summary of the project:
During this project, 18 youth workers will learn about the instinctive and spontaneous forms of art and how to implement them for social and work inclusion of intellectually disabled youth. Leading lecturers will be musical therapists, art teachers, and artists with experience in instinctive art and inclusive work. Special focus will be given to art-related social enterprises to sustain support and inclusion. As part of informal education methods, it will be presented digital technologies as an instrument to support art-related inclusive activities.
➢ Activity reference SM-PDA-P-2: Training program for youth workers Disability as ability – youth workers' personal attitudes and skills development for better understanding and support of intellectually disabled youth
Date: 23rd June – 3rd July 2025 Venue: Dolni Rakovets, Bulgaria
18 participants from a maximum of 9 countries (member states and third countries)
A summary of the project:
During this project, 18 youth workers will develop a deep understanding of the characteristics, abilities, and power of intellectually disabled youth by roleplaying methodology and by getting practical knowledge about the world perception and behavior of intellectually disabled youth. Through practical exercises (sensory theater methodology) and personal reflection, they will understand more about how to communicate and interact with intellectually disabled youth and support their social and work inclusion. All participants will play the roles of intellectually disabled youth and present their performance to the public to increase awareness, understanding, and inclusive behavior.
Objective 2: Enhance the Social inclusion of intellectually disabled youth through Educational Mobility: Promote activities that involve youth with intellectual disabilities and volunteer youth to support their social inclusion through joint learning and knowledge exchange.
The planned project to achieve this objective is:
➢ Activity reference LM-EXCH-P-3 Youth Exchange Let's create together – creative workshops for social and work inclusion of intellectually disabled youth
Date: 21st April - 2th Мay 2025 Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria
22 participants (incl. 3 group leaders), at least 3 of them with intellectual disabilities from a maximum three countries (member states and associated countries)
A summary of the project:
During this project, 19 youth participants (at least 3 of them with intellectual disabilities) supported by 3 group leaders will communicate, play, and do art and creative activities to learn how to better understand each other and live together. Through art-related informal education activities, youth participants will create content and products to present to the public.
Objective 3: Increase Employment Opportunities: Address the challenges faced by youth with intellectual disabilities in the labor market by transferring successful employment models and developing critical skills for their work inclusion.
The planned project to achieve this objective is:
➢ Activity reference LM-EXCH-P-4: Youth exchange – GREEN inclusion - Ecological practices for social and work inclusion of intellectually disabled youth
Date: 19th May – 30th May 2025 Dolni Rakovets, Bulgaria;
22 participants (incl. 3 group leaders), at least 3 of them with intellectual disabilities (3 countries (2 member states and one third country)
A summary of the project:
During this project, 19 youth participants (at least 3 of them with intellectual disabilities) supported by 3 group leaders will communicate, play, work, and live together ecologically and responsibly close to nature. Together, they will learn more about green behavior and the influence of nature on the health, well-being, and work inclusion of disabled youth. The focus will be on green jobs and green social enterprises as instruments for the social and work inclusion of intellectually disabled youth.
